Expedited delivery charges are often $30-$50 and can be more depending on the weight of the package. Weekend expedited orders ship Monday. We will determine shipping costs and get your approval (on orders with shipping over $16 U.S.) via e-mail before shipping. All payments must be in U.S. Dollars. Most orders outside the continental U.S. are shipped via FedEX. The customer is responsible for any applicable duties, customs fees or value added taxes (VAT) imposed in the receiving country. We are not allowed to mark orders as "gifts" and we are required to declare the actual dollar amount of the items ordered. Please see our "International " tab button, on the page header, for much more information about international orders. APO ORDERS All APO orders are shipped USPS Priority Mail. If the weight of the package is over 4 lbs. an additional $6 is charged for the order shipping. ORDERS to ALASKA and HAWAII: Orders to Alaska and Hawaii will be billed for shipping at the actual cost of shipping if the order is under $75. Alaskan and Hawaiian orders will receive a $5.25 credit to the actual shipping charge if the order is over $75. If the cost is in excess of $16 we will contact you for approval before shipping. Please note: for overnight orders we will ship without seeking approval due to time limitations. Our experience is that of orders paid by personal check, 80% of the time the check is never sent. This causes costs to our business which must be covered, interfering with our ability to maintain low prices for all of our paying customers. We sincerely regret this situation. RETURN POLICY AND OTHER INFORMATION 1. Is it safe to use my credit card? Yes it is. It is safer to use your credit card over the internet than in a restaurant or store. Yahoo uses secure servers that encrypt your credit card information. Scrapbook Express will not sell or transfer any customer's personal information. We retain customer address information for the Scrapbook Express mailing list unless requested otherwise by the customer. 2. When are credit cards charged for an order? Your credit card is charged when your items are shipped. 3. Does Scrapbook Express charge sales tax? State laws require companies to collect sales tax from residents when shipping merchandise to states where the company has an established business presence. The Scrapbook Express operations are in Utah & Michigan; we are, therefore, required to collect sales tax on orders shipped to locations in Utah & Michigan. 4. How long does it take to get my order delivered? Depending on when the order is received we generally ship the same day or the next business day after the order is received. Shipping is closed Saturday & Sunday. Weekend Orders are generally shipped on Monday but may be delayed due to illness, holidays, unexpected increased volume of sales, etc. Transit time depends on the mode of shipping and the time of year. Deliveries are usually made within three to five days, after the order is processed, to most parts of the U.S. 5. After You Order Immediately after placing your order you will receive an automated email confirmation. You will generally receive another confirmation notifying you of the day your order was shipped. If you have not received a order confirmation email, please let us know. It often is the result of making an error in entering your email address when you placed the order. It also could be the result of a spam filter not allowing the confirmation email get to your inbox. 6. How do I inquire about the status of an order? See the "Order Tracking" button & "Order Status" link or e-mail us at Scrapbookexpress@yahoo.com and indicate your name and order number (or what you ordered if you don't have your order number nearby) and we will answer your e-mail generally within 24 hours. We enjoy hearing from you so please do not hesitate to e-mail us for any reason. If for some reason e-mail is not good for you, you can also call us for your order status. 7. Can I cancel an order after it has been submitted? You can cancel an order by e-mail, phone or fax up until the time the order is shipped. We will need your order number and name. Because we frequently ship the same day or next day, phone or fax cancellations are more likely to be successful. Once the order is shipped the customer is responsible for return postage on cancellations. 8. Availability and backorders We try to keep everything on our website available at all times; however, this is not always possible and no inventory system is completely accurate. In some cases, for items that we are having trouble stocking, we will place a notice that the item ships in one or two weeks. If an item is on backorder, and there is no notice on the website, you will be notified via email and given the option to either keep the item on backorder, cancel the backordered item, or replace it with another item. This notification may occur after the other items on the order have been shipped. If we ship a partial order, any backordered item(s) will be shipped to you at no extra shipping charge when the item(s) arrive in our store. Backordered items will not be charged to your credit card until they are shipped. 9. Return Policy Our Unconditional Guarantee Products excluding pen sets,paper piecing patterns and opened software are unconditionally guaranteed and may be returned for exchange or refund, less shipping and handling, within 30 days from the date of shipping from Scrapbook Express. Please include your order number and name on any returns. Please contact us by e-mail or phone before returning an item. The customer is responsible for shipping charges on returns unless the return is due to a defective item or a mistake made by Scrapbook Express. Items must be returned in the condition received. Please enclose a copy of your invoice and a note explaining why you are returning the product. Please note: it may take up to two weeks for us to process a refund request. If shipped by FedEX, please do not sign for merchandise until you inspect the order for possible shipping damages. Describe damages in detail on the receipt (bill of lading) and have the delivering party cosign the receipt. Do not discard the packaging material. Notify us by E-mail or phone. We will have the item(s) inspected and picked up by FedEX, and we will ship a replacement to you at no charge. Please do not return the merchandise yourself unless we request you to do so, as this may delay your re-order or credit. |
